General Facilities
The building has spacious classrooms and wide passages. The administrative offices and the lobby are centrally air-conditioned. The school has a large multi-purpose hall, a uniform store, an indoor play area, an art & craft room and a hygienic canteen. A huge canopy covers the courtyard. The school can assemble under its shade for morning assembly.
Library
We have a spacious library stocked with periodicals, newspapers and books selected for their informative and educational value catering to all age groups. Apart from these, a good collection of maps, charts, audio and video-cassettes, and CD-ROMs are available as teaching aids. Computers with internet access are available for students use in the Senior Library.
Composite Laboratory
Equipped with materials needed to help the students form concepts through realistic and meaningful activities in Mathematics and Science.
Science Laboratories
Three large well-equipped laboratories provide the facilities necessary for demonstration, experimentation and project work at various levels in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Computer Science Centre
The school has five full-fledged computer laboratories. All laboratories have Pentium processor machines with the latest software and interactive white boards. An independent work station is made available to each student.
Play Field
Facilities are provided for Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Cricket, Badminton, Table Tennis and Athletics. We also hire the facility of the Etisalat Academy to provide specialised training.
Medicare
The school has two adequately equipped First-Aid centre with two doctors, 5 full time nurses, attendants and helpers.
Bookstore
The bookstore is well-stocked and has adequate supplies of textbooks, stationery and uniforms. Parents are encouraged to avail this facility in order to ensure uniformity.
Canteen
The school canteen is a hygienic and well-stocked facility that serves nutritious snacks and beverages at affordable prices.
The School Mosque
The school mosque is conveniently located on the ground floor.
Sports Facilities
Emphasis is placed on the value of exercise as a means of enjoyment and a healthy way of life. Students are trained in various games like cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, chess, athletics and swimming. Special coaching is given outside regular school hours and transport is provided. The school conducts a Sports Day separately for Primary, Middle and Senior School.
The school has two Basketball courts, Volleyball court, Cricket Nets, and an Astro-turf playground.
Science & Technology Facilities
Robotics
Ever since its inception the school has won accolades in the U.A.E. National Robotic Olympiad for many years in succession. Our Own High School has represented the United Arab Emirates in the World Robotic Olympiad at Naning (China 2006), Taipei (Taiwan 2007), Yokohama (Japan 2008), Seoul (Korea 2009), Manila (Philippines 2010), Abu Dhabi (UAE 2011& 2012), Malaysia (2012) & Jakarta (Indonesia 2013). Winners of National Robot Olympiad -2014.
STEAM- Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math
To widen the learning platform for our students and to incorporate holistic learning environment, the school has initiated STEAM education which integrates the learning of Science, and Math with Art, Technology and Engineering.
STEAM education focuses on promoting creativity and spirit of exploration in the learning process.
Incorporation of STEAM in the curriculum will propel students towards careers and academic pursuits involving five broad subject areas.
F1 in Schools
Our School has been a part of this competition since 2013. Ever since its inception, our teams have performed on par with teams who have had years of prior experience. Despite being newcomers in this field, our teams have still left a long lasting impact in the history of F1 in Schools.
